I'm sure that you already know what
hacking is and its advantages/
disadvantages although you may not
know about the magazines that write
about it. Here they are:-
{I{9 2600 quarterly
{A{7 This is an American based mag but can
be picked up from the larger
chainstores of Smiths and other large
newsagents although alternatively you
could write to America directly
(please don't flood his po box!) at:-
{: PO Box 727,
Middle Island,
New York,
U.S.A.
{6Things Covered in it:-
{7 It is based around hacking and
contains strong editorials about
people wanting hacking to be legal and
why people do it although they print
things like how to build your own
black box! 2600 keeps abreast (cor!
ay lads!) of the latest arrests and
busts of hackers, publishes detailed
articles on how to hack different
operating systems, and surveys
{te{!0000{!1111{!2222{!3333{A{7bulletin boards and computer networks
in America and abroad.(2600, complete
with letters from hackers all over the
world and a strong editorial line in
defence of the right to hack).
{I{9 2280
{A{7 This mag is a British version of 2600
except it's in computer format and is
spread about mainly on bulletin
boards. It covers all the above. The
reason for it being called 2280
instead of 2600 is that the hertz for
a free call is 2280 over here in
Britain but it is 2600 in America!
Sorted!
{5 These were the only ones I could
find in the Beating The system book
available from Bloomsbury Books and
the author is Qwen Bowcott and Sally
Hamilten. Oh shit! hang-on I can
write a completely different article
about the books you can get for
hacking and really piss Andrew
(antacid!) off who is sitting next to
me moaning about my crap (Oh no Amiga
Power again!) punctuation!
